What is AI Placeholder?

AI Placeholder is a free AI-powered tool that allows you to generate fake dummy data for API testing and prototyping. It uses OpenAI's GPT-3.5-turbo model API to generate realistic and customizable content. You can use the hosted version or self-host the tool.

With AI Placeholder, you can generate data for various use cases. For example, you can generate data based on specific rules and parameters, such as retrieving a list of forum users, CRM sales deals with a certain deal size, or products from a marketplace sorted by price. The tool provides JSON data as a response to your requests.

To use AI Placeholder, you can directly try the hosted API by making HTTP requests to the specified routes. You can also specify the type of content you want to generate and other parameters, such as the number of records or fields to include. The tool supports various content types, including tweets, posts, Instagram posts, and LinkedIn posts.

If you prefer to self-host AI Placeholder, you can clone the GitHub repository and follow the installation instructions provided. The tool is open source, and contributions via pull requests are welcome.

Please note that as of now, the self-hosted version of AI Placeholder is not supported by Deno Deploy, and a workaround using GitHub Actions is recommended for deployment.
